Senior Project Manager 10 yrs min Experience Overview: This position is responsible for the successful management of multiple major technical commercialization projects driving new product launches and technology transfers of major significance to the success of the corporation. The scope includes managing cost, quality and time. This position is primarily self-directed and requires minmal supervision based on industry experience. The scope of the projects will begin pre-submission and continue thru post-launch activities. This position additionally is a key influencer of change management within the organization. Key to success is also development and clear communication of project issues/resolution and project risk management. This position is key to and has a direct impact on accomplishing the corporation's objectives of launching and transferring new products. Limited travel expected. This position will have no direct reports but will have cross-functional team members reporting on a project specific basis in order to execute new product launches successfully. There will be daily accountability, problem solving and issue resolution at all levels of management as well as interface with operator level positions. This position will provide supervision/guidance/coaching/mentoring of less senior level project managers. Responsibilities: Manages people, content and process on project teams to achieve successful new product launches Communicates key project related information as necessary to the rest of the organization Exemplifies high standards of excellence in all project endeavors through the setting and executing of project management standards of operation and conduct. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities to manage people, content and process in launching new products. Preference is PMP certification or ability to become certified within a reasonable period of time. Demonstrated 5 or more years successfully managing major new product launch or technology transfer projects with at least 10 years of industry experience. Working knowledge of new product development in the pharmaceutical industry Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels in the organization as well as across all functional areas. Technical knowledge and experience in project management including the use of tools such as MS Project Good negotiating, motivation and presentation skills; proactive thinking skills Ability to focus on the details as well as top level strategy Good coaching skills to develop talent Solid problem solving and decision making skills Good leadership and organizational skills; strong business acumen
