Job Description
EXPERIENCE: BS Mechanical Engineering required; MSME preferred with 6 - 10 years progressive experience on manufacturing equipment. 5 years project management responsibility. Medical Device experience is the direct fit may consider other product areas that are similar. Client is looking for someone ideally who can create a product from working directly with R&D to selecting materials and modification of equipment to make the device based on Marketing or Customers needs. DUTIES: The Mission of Global Engineering is to provide appropriate solutions in support of Product Development, Design, Production and Procurement contributing to the achievement of desired Business results. The Senior Process/Project Engineer for Global Engineering will provide technical support to R&D, New Product Development and Operations functions. This position directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility: Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing. Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Prepares interim and completion project reports. Utilizing good project management skills this position manages the supplier relationships in the procurement of key equipment. The supplier management activities include the development and management of strategic relations with equipment suppliers to support new product development teams and tactical buyers.
