Job Description
Company Summary: Our client, a large pharmaceutical company, is dedicated to serving patients by providing innovative products that improve their lives with better healthcare. With a foundation built on a robust, early-stage pipeline, our client is a world class pharmaceutical company.

You will perform the following functions in this key role:

  • Responsible for the delivery of scientific and pharmacoeconomic data concerning products to health care systems managing medical care including: managed care organizations, payer groups, pharmacy benefit management companies or other organizations that are involved with medication formulary decisions.
  • Possess business and scientific acumen demonstrated by communication of complex scientific and clinical information to colleagues, academicians, and health care decision makers.
  • Possess expansive knowledge of managed care, scientific therapeutics, and pharmacoeconomic principals.
  • Coordinate the delivery and execution of scientific presentations and communications within assigned region to managed care decision makers, medical and scientific professionals, peers and internal business partners.
  • Identify and communicate outcomes and pharmacoeconomic research objectives identified by managed care decision makers to internal outcomes research partners.
  • Identify and interface with thought leaders in academic settings with expertise in the pharmacoeconomic and outcomes areas
  • Participate in company training as assigned by manager.
  • Participate and attend identified scientific and professional meetings as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
  • PharmD, MD or Ph.D., in a health sciences related field, with a thorough grasp of the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 of these years including pharmacoeconomics or managed market experience.
  • MBA or equivalent business training is desired.
  • Pharmaceoeconomics training and/or background in outcomes research is desired.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to engender trust and respect of peers, subordinates and superiors.
  • Proven track record of teamwork, leadership, timely decision making and results orientation in meeting business objectives.
  • Business and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research principals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to drive or fly to various meetings/client sites – 60-80% overnight.
