I. Position Summary
Primary job functions are providing strategic support, leadership, and guidance to his/her groups; building business within current accounts; and developing new business opportunities as needed.
II. Responsibilities
Project Development and Client Relations
*Develops strategic skills, masters tactical planning and implementation *Ensures all creative and tactics developed support the brand positioning *Maintains key client contact and ensures the client is kept apprised of the status of all jobs and ongoing progress *Attends client meetings/conventions/market research and handles timely follow-up
Financial and Leadership
*Maintains financial control of all client work (estimates, jobs, fees, billing) within the guidelines of the client’s budget *Provides accurate and realistic forecasts for the group *Provides clear direction and establishes expectations for subordinates *Delegates tasks as appropriate while ensuring quality meets agency standards
Marketing Savvy and Strategic Thinking
*Thoroughly understands the products, their strategic/relevant histories, and performance (e.g., $ sales, brand share, etc) *Appropriately interprets market data *Knows market trends, the needs of each target audience, relevant disease state guidelines, and emerging new drugs in the category
IV. Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree *6-8 years in account services at a healthcare communications/advertising agency *5+ years of Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology experience *Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
