Business Analyst/Project Leader - Marketing, IS - Wyeth Consumer Healthcare, Madison, NJ

This person is responsible for business analysis, client relationship management and end-to-end project management in support of WCH Marketing, Advertising, Global Market Research, and eMarketing.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The Marketing IS - Business Analyst/Project Leader will manage the end-to-end implementation of IS solution projects. They must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for the project for which they are managing, have the ability to manage change effectively and have a customer-focused orientation. This person must be adept at team building and negotiating and must manage their projects and project team in adherence to WCH business priorities.This person will work closely with business clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of their business, its processes and requirements, ensure incorporation into technical designs, and are represented throughout the life cycle of the projects.They will ensure the Marketing IS strategy and solutions are aligned with our business needs and using the appropriate technology.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Establish, develop and manage individual relationships across IS and with our business clients, including developing and demonstrating a thorough and comprehensive understanding of our business, its processes and requirements as well as the capabilities, services, and solution strategies of Information Services.

Foster a solid working relationship with business partners to collaborate on prioritization of business needs and established action plans for completing approved initiatives within the environment set by Information Services.

Create, review and gain approval of project proposals, which include project goals, scope, schedule, costs, risk and issue identification and mitigation. Identify project resources/staffing requirements.

Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for each project phase and that project team members have an understanding of expectations, timelines, and scope.

Manage the end-to-end implementation of select initiatives following the Wyeth Project Management Methodology including the project plan, schedule, resources, task assignments, scope, budget, and risks.

Maintain proper documentation including the original plan, any working technical and/or design documents, status reports, meeting minutes, issue logs, and any other documentation related to the management and administration of the project.

Track progress and report schedule, budget, and delivery details to business and IS management via approved mechanisms.
Proactively advise management of interim plans, potential issues, mitigating strategies, and implications of requested scope or resource changes.

Facilitate project meetings. Brief the project team on status reporting, problem resolution, feedback, input from the team on project planning and execution.Providing guidance to project team members, managing problem resolution for successful and timely implementation.

Manage workload and resource loading to facilitate successful completion of project and production support tasks, including allocating resources appropriately to meet objectives, priorities and business needs.Provide post-implementation and on-going client relationship support

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree required with 5-7 years of experience, including 3-5 years of project management/client relationship experience.

  • Proven ability to partner with business clients to understand relevant business issues and applying technology to add business value.

  • Effective communication skills, both oral & written with both technical and non-technical clients.

  • Ability to work independently & within a team environment.

  • Ability to enlist and partner with resources within and outside the department to ensure successful execution of design &implementation tasks.

  • Demonstrated collaborative, consultative, problem solving, prioritization and analytical skills.

  • This person should have knowledge of the Consumer Products industry, PMP certification is a plus.
