Job Description
Medical Sales Planning Manager job within our Business Information team - Madison, NJ - Wyeth Consumer Healthcare

In this role, you will be responsible for managing our Medical Sales Salesforce Automation (SFA) call reporting system. This includes managing projects for selection, development, testing and rollout of new system releases, upgrades, etc. and providing training and consultative support to approximately 480 medical sales field personnel and management. In addition, you will manage business reporting and analysis, sample compliance including SOP documentation & compliance with PDMA regulations, data quality and data validation, oversight of outside vendors and partnering with our Pharmaceutical division for data sharing.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide new hire and ongoing training to employees in the use of the sales force automation system, including business processes such as sampling compliance and territory maintenance.
  • Analyze sales call, sample and prescription data to provide sales and marketing support to senior management, regional directors and district managers.
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating changes in physician targeting, territory realignments and sales force optimizations.
  • Manage SFA and sample compliance vendors.
  • Implement Marketing initiatives to the field that involve the SFA system.
  • Manage monthly SFA report distribution. Gather, assess and make recommendations for reporting requirements to improve the portfolio of Medical Sales reports. Work with IS and external consultants to implement improvements by defining resource needs, managing development timelines and performing user acceptance testing.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Sales force automation systems experience and pharmaceutical sales management experience.
  • 5 years experience of pharmaceutical sales or sales operations experience.
  • 2 + years of project management and supervisory experience.
  • Pharmaceutical sales operations and project management experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical, collaborative and consultative abilities.
  • Advanced Access and Excel skills required, including familiarity with reporting tools.
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel.
  • Ability to successfully work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects and third party vendors.
