Job Description
My International client is the world’s leading engineering and consulting company focused exclusively on the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

They cover the entire pharmaceutical supply chain, from product development to manufacturing. Their services include consulting, engineering, construction, validation and complete solutions for automation, cleanrooms, and modular and turnkey facilities. Their competencies span all technical disciplines for product development, production plants, pilot plants and laboratories within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. They not only help their clients build facilities – they help them analyze their production plans and advise them on business-critical decisions.

They are growing and focusing their expansion efforts on increasing their long-term relationships with customers in the biotechnology sector and selected pharmaceutical companies. This Position is new and based on that growth

Director of Global Market and Business Development

We are conducting a search for an seasoned individual to lead the Global Sales efforts for their system of engineering and consulting Services.

Your current profile

You currently reside on the East Coast

You are presently selling similar services for an Engineering or Automation firm with a focus on the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Your sales are double digit seven figures. You are the “go to person” at your current company when they need a “heavy hitter”. You thrive in an environment with little supervision and you are driven to beat the budget. Only “Hunters” would enjoy and excel in this senior career position

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum: BS or MS degree in the life sciences or engineering. Other advanced degrees relevant to the life sciences market desired but not required. Experience in this market place—selling the above services can supersede your degree type.

10+ years selling and leading high performing organizations. You will have sold engineering and consulting services before and have direct experience selling into the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

This individual will work on a large variety of business activities and a professional degree (e.g., MBA) demonstrating a background in that area will be a positive but is not a requirement.

The candidate MUST have a proven track record with regard to professional relationship building and generation of new revenues in the Engineering, Consulting, or Specialized Software Services focused on pharmaceutical and biotech industries. That is, we expect the candidate to have an extensive network of professional scientific and business contacts with decision makers in outsourcing. The successful candidate must be respected by their peers and have a positive professional image in the industry they serve.

This position will require extensive travel.
