Summary:

Plan and execute new product development projects in support of team objectives. Responsible for product design and project management for projects of limited scope. Also responsible for management of CAD systems, CAD policies, and CAD technical support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

? Generate new product ideas and create product designs.

? Perform engineering calculations and analyses.

? Maintain considerable vendor and customer contact.

? Control costs and timeliness of assigned design analysis projects.

? Create and modify CAD drawings in conformance with established quality systems.

? Provide CAD technical support.

? Manage CAD systems and policies.

? Plan and execute small projects.

? Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 4 to 8 years of relevant experience. Preferred experience in designing plastic disposables in the medical or life science industries.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Knowledge of ISO standards and design control systems. Knowledge of plastics design, principles and guidelines. Intermediate project management skills, including the ability to accurately plan and track a new product development project of medium scope. Intermediate design and analysis skills, typically acquired through at least 4 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of fabrication and assembly technologies. Demonstrates CAD competency and engineering drawing skills, including GD&T.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $55K-$75K. The earning potential with profit sharing and other incentives will increase total compensation.
