This position represents a level in which the incumbent is primarily responsible for identifying, procuring, and managing the physical, budgetary and human resources required for supporting the development of diagnostic instrument and/or reagent systems. This position will manage the core development and commercialization cross-functional team members throughout the duration of the product life cycle. This position also identifies and networks with other functional areas within the company as required to expedite the product development and commercialization cycle. Project Managers participate in projects/programs of moderate complexity. Failure to achieve goals may result in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in a projects overall development schedule. Establishes overall program direction and goals, including the direction of resources toward completion of the goals Establishes and maintains program milestones and timelines. Management of the program critical path and contingency planning Communication with other product development teams to share information and help implement standard product development practices across the company Provides open environment and promotes teamwork during the development process. Provides effective leadership for team Routinely presents program updates to the Product Approval Council Maintains project management software to manage time and resources, schedule meetings, track identified activities relating to product development and facilitate communication between various groups throughout the organization. Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time. Formal Training/Education:

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in the Engineering or Life Sciences Experience: Five or more years of software development project management for enterprise business applications or software development. Experience with software lifecycle management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong personality, ability to manage by and meet deadlines, and drive tasks across a large virtual team Excellent time management, planning, organization and problem solving skills Must be people-oriented and a team player. Proficiency with MS Project, word processing, spreadsheet, database and email software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize
