Job Description
Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President of Finance, the Corporate Controller will provide direction to several key areas within the finance organization including Financial Reporting and Financial Operations. This position will have 3 director level reports and over 20 indirect reports in the areas of financial reporting, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Due to KV’s current and projected growth, we seek candidates for this newly created role with the desire to grow professionally as we continue to develop our financial department’s succession plan. Leadership and management skills are required as this position will have direct management oversight.

Responsibilities for this critical role include oversight and preparation and release of reports that outline the company’s financial position and results of operations (10-K’s, 10-Q’s). In addition he/she will ensure that all reporting requirements, both internal and external (SEC), are met in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate will also oversee and liaise with the company’s Big 4 audit firm in the audits of the company's annual financial statements (US GAAP), and assist the Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer on special requests or projects. In addition, he/she will provide guidance on issues related to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Corporate Controller will also ensure there is an efficient and effective system of internal controls in place to prevent and/or detect errors, omissions, and irregularities. Recommendations and subsequent implementation of procedures based on recent guidance will also be required.

Qualified candidates will possess a BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major. CPA certification required. Current knowledge of GAAP and SEC Reporting is imperative. 10-15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is required. Big 4 Public Accounting experience is highly preferred.
