Job Description
KV Pharmaceutical seeks maintenance technicians. Successful candidates will perform precision and critical machine setup and repair of high speed and Computer controlled equipment. Successful candidates will carry out tasks that improve the performance of the equipment, conduct proactive maintenance tasks to maintain equipment in state of availability and reliability, and perform advanced troubleshooting and corrective actions for failures on high speed and computer controlled equipment. You will participate in appropriate NCR investigations relative to manufacturing, packaging or utility equipment and system failures as well as provide training to Operators and Setup Mechanics on manual production equipment and support engineering in specifying, procuring and factory accepting new equipment or support systems.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of five years of Maintenance experience with High Speed and computer controlled Manufacturing and/or Packaging equipment and a 2 year degree and/or trade license or 5 years of demonstrated experience and proficiency. Pharmaceutical operating plant experience, with solid dose and compression equipment preferred. You must be able to self learn and understand complex and computer controlled machinery and processes, have knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations, and the ability to read, interpret and modify equipment schematics and blue prints and electrical diagrams. We are seeking individuals who possess logical and methodical thought processes and can develop, write and submit Procedural Documents for all equipment Operation, Maintenance and Setup. We are seeking individuals who possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, math skills including statistical methods, have strong organizational and documentation skills, can multi-task, prioritize, and are proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience in JD Edwards applications a plus.
