Job Description
KV Pharmaceutical seeks a Packaging Process Engineer. The successful candidate will work closely with line workers, supervisors and managers for identification of continuous improvement opportunities. You will prioritize continuous improvement opportunities and implement them as well as analyze equipment downtime, customer complaints, costs and production rate for opportunities. We are seeking an individual who can work closely with our Engineering group during design and construction of new packaging equipment to ensure proper lay-out and start-up. The ideal candidate will operate as subject matter expert (SME) by troubleshooting problems and opportunities within key areas of responsibility.

The Packing Process Engineer will write and/or amend SOP’s and batch records, support major projects as a technical resource, manage minor improvement projects, and support training specialist and compliance audits and visits. You must be able to demonstrate a specific, detailed knowledge of eGMP’s, SOP’s, DEA, EPA, OSHA regulations, record keeping, mathematical standards, department policies, preparation of manufacturing documentation (Batch Records, CIF’s, NCR’s, reconciliation and incident reports). The incumbent will use Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing tools to identify and drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity and cost.

The ideal candidate will have a Technical Packaging or Engineering degree and five plus years experience in an engineering/continuous improvement capacity in the pharmaceutical industry. Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing certification desired. We are seeking individuals who possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, math skills, offer an organized approach to providing timely accurate reports, can multi-task, prioritize, and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
