Job Description
KV Pharmaceutical seeks a Research Technician. As a Research Technician, you will assist the formulators in developing pharmaceutical dosage forms in conformance with all applicable SOPs, cGMPs and GLPs. The successful candidate will interface with the packaging department to coordinate packaging of research batches and packages pharmaceutical or nutritional products and coordinate the movement of hatches, paperwork, labels and packaging components for the packaging of research batches. You will run packaging lines and perform testing as needed, maintain the notebook, accurately record results and write appropriate reports, and maintain project documentation in an organized manner. The Research Technician will assist formulators in monitoring developed products from the development phase through the production manufacturing stages and assist in troubleshooting production problems with established formulations.
Associate’s Degree with minimum of one year experience in pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing, or QA/QC desired. Packaging experience preferred. The successful candidate will possess good understanding of SOPs GMPs and GLPs, be able to work independently on assignments using standard laboratory techniques, have working knowledge of pharmaceutical ingredients, manufacturing processing equipment and testing equipment and be able to work with R&D Lab to production-scale equipment. If you can coordinate and/or perform packaging operations and can work with minimal supervision apply today. Flexibility needed to work on 2nd or 3rd shifts schedules for scale-up processing, as needed, to fully utilize production equipment. We are seeking individuals who possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, math skills, offer an organized approach to providing timely accurate reports, can multi-task, prioritize, and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
