Job Description
Provide support in the areas of scientific knowledge, clinical issues, product and competitor information research, identifying new opportunities, Phase IV, IIS, and corresponding budget. Champion opinion leader studies. Provide both internal and external medical support. Lead in delivering education and training programs. Support launch and post-launch stages of products.
Essential Duties:
-Interact with Professional Relations, Marketing, Sales and Legal departments.
-Seeks out information from medical and scientific literature, scientific meetings, symposia, and seminars that differentiates Merz products from the competition.
-Champion opinion leader studies with Professional Relations, marketing and the global medical affairs teams.
-Lead Phase IV, IIS studies and publication deliverables for in line and close to market products.
-Responsible for developing and managing the Phase IV and IIS budget
-Establish and maintain excellent educational and research collaborations with external parties such as clinical site physicians, thought leaders, investigators and key academic institutions to build outstanding product awareness and advocacy.
-Provide internal support on select clinical issues and also advise on new opportunities to collaborate with key customers or academic partners.
-The person in this role will be central to providing clinical and scientific lead in delivering education and training programs.
-Provide scientific support at advisory boards, regional educational programs, conferences and other external meetings.
-Provide support to Merz Aesthetic colleagues for launch and post launch stages of products including preparation of journal articles, abstracts, slide presentations, and posters.
-Responsible for policy development and management of all reported AEs within the Aesthetics business unit.
Minimum Requirements:
-Advance training (eg. PhD, MD/DO or PharmD) and/or greater experience would make a candidate more competitive
-At least 2-4 years of experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
-Strong technical skills and the ability to use and interpret clinical studies are imperative
-Solid communication skills are essential
-Experience in phase IV clinical research or physician research grant programs is a plus
-Manage multiple projects and product responsibilities
-Travel 35 to 45 percent
