Job Description
Brand Product Manager
Principal Accountabilities:
• Assists in the development and implementation of growth strategies for brand. This includes analysis of market research; development of strategic imperatives, and implementation of appropriate tactical programs to accelerate product growth.
• Periodic presentations to Marketing Management.
• Day-to-day management of advertising agency, including providing effective direction and feedback, developing a strong partnership and keeping the agency abreast of all brand activities.
• Responsible for project and brand budget, including adherence to approved financial allocations, application of financial planning, expense forecasting and improvement of brand profitability
• Oversee and manage all relevant distribution channels, including online marketing and product distribution. Assess different distribution routes, and provide recommendations for improved efficiency and maximized profits.
• Builds effective working relationships with key external customers, including thought leaders, patient advocacy groups, professional organizations and consumer groups. Plans and participates in the execution of physician advisory boards. Also, builds effective working relationships with external customers such as Med Ed agencies, vendors and consultants to maximize the business.
• Participates as an active member of the Brand team, which is functionally responsible for the overall management and direction of the entire franchise including new pipeline products. Interacts with key internal stakeholders to ensure that marketing initiatives are linked to achievement of critical business objectives. Key internal stakeholders include sales, regulatory, medical, legal, finance, training and other departments across organization.
• Works in close association with the Ig Team to uncover internal sales and marketing synergies as well as external customer and patient synergies.
Qualifications:
Training and Experience
• Typically BS/BA
• A minimum of 4 years sales (hospital preferred), marketing or related experience
• Demonstrated problem solving skills with a strong ability to think analytically and strategically
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Project management skills
• Multi-tasking, resourceful
• Healthcare market and customer knowledge
