In the beautiful surroundings of the Pacific Northwest an emerging medical technology company is expanding its commercial organization and needs a Marketing Manager to help take them to the next level. This 40 year old, profitable organization has enjoyed annual revenue growth in excess of 20% for the past three years. Although smaller than their multinational competitors, their R&D teams are extremely innovative and their products offer significant clinical advantages over existing therapies. They have an exciting work environment where their relatively small teams have unusually strong personal chemistry. Duties and Responsibilities The Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to plan and execute marketing strategies for a line of innovative medical devices in the Cardiac Rhythm Management business. The role consists of roughly 70% strategic planning, working with Key Opinion Leaders, sales leadership and R&D to create a roadmap for the future product offerings and target markets. Specific duties include developing annual and long-term strategic plans, assessing competitive strengths and weaknesses in the CRM market, segmentation and positioning. This is a broadly defined assignment where you will be asked to “wear many hats” and your responsibilities may vary greatly from day to day. In addition to developing the strategic plan for your assigned products, you will also work closely with cross functional team members from Sales, R&D, Medical Affairs and Regulatory to execute those plans. The small size of the marketing team means that your work with signficantly impact the success of the business, so strong leadership and communications skills are required. You will also be asked to spend time in the field with the sales force and with KOL’s in the cardiology community; overnight travel is estimated at 25%.
