Job Description
The successful candidate will develop financial strategies and analyses with focus on cost development, systems, forecasting and financial modeling. Major responsibilities include support for the Operations function in the areas of manufacturing, quality, procurement and maintenance.
Acts as Key business partner for VP of Operations, VP of Manufacturing and VP of Quality Develops cost of operations, standard cost, capacity utilization and ongoing variance analysis Supports Capital Investment applications for ongoing compliance and new business Coordinates long term forecasts and monthly rolling forecast updates for Operations Recommends and implements processes and systems that improve transparency of cost drivers within operations Interfaces with Senior Management within the facility as well as corporate and world headquarters. Must have in depth understanding of the varied financial disciplines Prepares presentations for the global Corporate Executive Management and Board Supports and participates in product acquisitions/divestitures and contract negotiation Evolves current financial reporting into true analysis (Scorecards etc.) to support a fast growing company within a competitive industry. Utilizes Negotiation Skills to participate in external business negotiations
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree preferred 8-12 years experience in Finance and Accounting Experience in a manufacturing environment specifically related to product costing, cost systems and capacity utilization is required Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry (particularly Generics) is preferred Advanced experience with Excel, PowerPoint, ERP (SAP experience is a plus) and Business Intelligence Systems (COGNOS, etc.)
